This year marked an important milestone for Phoenix Academy, as our three-year Chinese Herbal Medicine programme received accreditation from the European Herbal and Traditional Practitioners Association. This recognition reflects the quality of our teaching and its alignment with professional best practice across Europe.

Our international collaborations continue to grow, including ongoing partnerships with Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, China Medical University in Taiwan, and the International JingFang Institute of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine. The establishment of the UK branch of the International JingFang Institute allows us to bring classical formula knowledge closer to practitioners here, ensuring it remains relevant, practical, and accessible. Through these efforts, we are not only meeting standards, but actively contributing to their development.

Honouring the traditions of Chinese medicine also means supporting its future through modern research and quality systems. This year, we have invested significantly in strengthening our approach to quality and innovation. We are implementing a GMP-compliant Quality Management System that exceeds current requirements, with particular attention given to the stability and consistency of our Daodi herbal supplies.

One example of this forward-thinking approach is the introduction of the HBK formula. Developed from nearly four decades of oncology research by the scientific team at China Medical University, it reflects our belief in evidence-informed, prevention-focused development. This is the direction we see as essential to the next phase of Chinese medicine, and we are proud to support research that aligns tradition with modern scientific understanding.
