Healing Without Harm – Supporting Animals Asia
As firm advocates against the use of animal products in traditional Chinese medicine, we are proud to support Animals Asia in their mission to end the exploitation of animals for healthcare.
Through our Healing Without Harm campaign, we promote herbal alternatives and raise awareness about ethical, cruelty-free medicine. Our #SubstituteSaturday series on Instagram shares herbal substitutions for animal-derived ingredients, and we extend this message through blogs, printed materials, and conference exhibitions.
Since 2018, we’ve donated a portion of our profits to Animals Asia, and our customers can also contribute at checkout. From charity raffles at trade shows to ongoing promotions, we work to raise both awareness and funds.
The donations we collect help fund life-saving surgeries for moon bears rescued from bile farms, as well as support the creation of new bear sanctuaries across Asia.

World Medicine – Acupuncture for Crisis Recovery
World Medicine is a charity delivering acupuncture to those affected by trauma, poverty, and natural disasters. Following the Grenfell Tower tragedy in 2017, Phoenix Medical began supporting this cause by donating acupuncture needles and clinical supplies to over 50 volunteer practitioners.
We continue to supply World Medicine with safe, high-quality materials to ensure volunteers can offer free, effective treatments to those in need.
Supporting Community Health Initiatives
Beyond our primary charity partners, we proudly support several organisations providing acupuncture to vulnerable communities:
- Leeds Cancer Support: Since 2018, we’ve partnered with the Leeds Cancer Centre, which offers a 10-week Auricular Acupuncture course using the NADA protocol to support men undergoing prostate cancer treatment. Phoenix donates detox needles and educational posters to help facilitate these vital sessions.
- Positive East Ear Acupuncture Clinic: A longstanding leader in HIV care, Positive East recently launched its first auricular acupuncture drop-in clinic, led by NADA practitioner Truus Jansen. We’ve contributed detox needles and ear seeds to support their efforts to provide free, holistic treatment.
